It’s been almost eight years since I packed up my life in Barcelona and moved to Toronto, and honestly, that decision changed everything about how I see the world and what I wanted to create in it. I had just finished my master’s degree in Fashion and I felt this pull to go somewhere new, to stop being comfortable.

Toronto gave me ambition, pace, a drive I didn’t know I had. But the Mediterranean never left me. The way I was raised, that slower, more intentional way of moving through life, stayed in my bones. And the longer I lived here, the more I noticed what was missing, not just in my wardrobe, but in the way we dress and the way we live.

That’s really where Besson came from. Living between two very different places made me realize that I didn’t want to choose between building the life I wanted and actually enjoying it. I love working hard, having goals and constantly wanting more for myself, but I also grew up in a culture where a random Wednesday can turn into dinner with friends, nobody thinks twice about spending an afternoon by the water, and life doesn’t have to wait until the work is done.

Besson lives between those two worlds. The energy and drive I found in Toronto, and the ease, beauty, and enjoyment I grew up with in Barcelona.

I never wanted to create just a swimsuit. I wanted to create pieces you could actually live in, because that freedom is part of the lifestyle I want Besson to represent. Something that can move with you from one part of your day to another and feel just as natural in each.

More than anything, I want Besson to inspire a way of living that feels a little more Mediterranean, a little more spontaneous, and a little less stressed.

I hope what we create becomes part of the places you go, the people you meet and the memories you make along the way. Wear it your way and enjoy the hell out of it.
