Besson production began in downtown Toronto, where the first collection was developed and manufactured. Producing locally allowed us to work in small quantities, stay close to the process, and refine every detail as the brand took shape. As things evolved, the next chapter brought us closer to home.
Through connections in the fashion industry, we were introduced to one of Barcelona's most experienced swimwear seamstresses, who, among her many projects, creates competition garments for synchronized swimming teams. It's work that demands remarkable precision, patience, and technical expertise, qualities that aligned perfectly with our vision for Besson.
Today, every Besson piece is made in a small atelier in Barcelona, where garments are still produced one piece at a time. Each design is laser cut, sewn, hand finished, and carefully inspected before becoming part of a collection. Working this way takes more time, but it means we never lose sight of the details. Every piece receives the same level of care from the first cut to the final inspection.
We love exploring new shapes, subtle details that make all the difference, and playing with different textures, from matte finishes to shine and tulle. It gives us the freedom to experiment, try new ideas and let each design have its own character, which is why our collections naturally take the form of limited editions. It keeps Besson creative while still making every piece feel personal.
We made it. The rest is yours.
