Besson production began in downtown Toronto, where the first collection was developed and manufactured. Producing locally allowed us to work in small quantities, stay close to the process, and refine every detail as the brand took shape. It also meant partnering with local makers in a city that takes ethical production and responsible business practices seriously.

As the brand evolved and demand from Europe grew, the next chapter brought us closer to home.

Through connections in the fashion industry, we were introduced to one of Barcelona's most experienced swimwear seamstresses who, among her many projects, creates competition garments for synchronized swimming teams. It's work that demands a remarkable level of precision and attention to detail, qualities that aligned perfectly with our vision for Besson.

Today, every Besson piece is made in a small atelier in Barcelona, where each garment is sewn individually, one by one, much like the way clothing used to be made. Every piece is laser cut individually, sewn one by one, and carefully finished by hand before being revised to ensure consistency throughout the collection.

Working this way is slower, more demanding, and increasingly rare. But it's also what allows us to create pieces with an unusual level of care and attention.

Besson is produced in limited quantities by design. We release small editions and are gradually introducing made to order pieces because we believe clothing should feel special, not endlessly available.

Exclusivity for us isn't about creating artificial scarcity. It's about making only what we need, preserving artisanal techniques, and offering pieces that feel distinctive in a world of mass production.

Thoughtful production, lasting quality, and a sense of rarity continue to define everything we create.
