Our Insider Guide to Barcelona’s Most Chic Rooftops
Are you the kind of person who loves watching unreal city views, indulging in the hottest and most diverse tapas, and dressing like a European effortless gal? Then this is for you!
While plenty of blogs cover Barcelona’s rooftops, we wanted to share a short and sweet list of 5 super chic spots you can’t miss, each with its own unique vibe.
La Isabela restaurant is one of those spots you just can’t skip in Barcelona. Seriously, it’s that good. It’s right on top of Hotel 1898, which makes it so easy to swing by after shopping around Portal del Ángel or Passeig de Gràcia, two of the most fun shopping streets in the city.
Once you’re up there, the vibe is chic but still super relaxed…very Barcelona style. There’s a pool, gorgeous decor (you’ll definitely want to take a million pics), and the kind of panoramic city views that make you want to stay forever! The cocktails are amazing and the burgers and tapas are actually worth it! They use fresh ingredients from La Boqueria, and you have to check this market out if you haven’t yet, it’s one of the most popular in the world!
The service is always friendly and on point. Honestly, it’s the perfect place to end your day with a drink in hand and the Barri Gòtic (the Gothic Quarter) right below you.
Mood Rooftop Bar is another rooftop gem you need on your Barcelona list! It’s up on the 9th floor of The One Barcelona hotel, and the views are insane! You can see La Pedrera, the cathedral, Montjuïc, and even the Mediterranean all in one sweep.
The vibe is fancy but super inviting, with jazz and hip-hop setting the tone so it feels classy without being stiff. Come for sunset, order a cocktail (tip: do martinis and/or sangria), and just soak it all in! Also, the food goes way beyond the usual rooftop snacks. Think oysters, fondue, salmon.. everything is absolutely tasty.
You’ll end up losing track of time here, between the views, the music, and that second round of cocktails you’re definitely going to order! But that’s the beauty of Barcelona, you’re meant to let yourself go!
Eleven BCN feels like a secret upgrade to your night out in Barcelona. The cocktails are so next level with creative gin drinks, martinis, and classics done right. Tapas are fancy but totally crave-worthy with truffled potato chips, Manchego in aromatized oil, and jamón ibérico with pan con tomate, mmm. The whole place has a sophisticated, art-gallery vibe with dark marble, minimalist sofas, and sleek parquet. It’s honestly very beautiful.
One of the few rooftops with a full 360-degree view, it has two zones, one for drinks and socializing and one by the pool if you’re a hotel guest, so you can sip while swimming and taking it all in. Also, there is almost always a DJ or live music, sometimes even a surprise sunset party. Perfect for a skyline drink with a little extra magic.
Pulitzer Hotel’s rooftop in the heart of Barcelona is like stumbling into a summer festival in the middle of the city. Tropical plants and strings of lights set the scene while DJs and live bands keep the energy playful and upbeat. The crowd is a mix of young locals, creative professionals, couples, friends, and solo explorers, all laughing, chatting, and sometimes dancing between tables.
Cocktails are bold and fun, from Pineapple-Tai to Pulitzer Fizz, and the food is perfect for sharing, with street food bites and inventive world tapas that smell and taste amazing. Come for vermouth in the afternoon, stay for golden hour, and let the sunset turn the terrace into a vibrant night beat where you feel like a local, part of the party, and completely in the moment.
Our favorite has to be La Terraza de Anna. The vibe is like a rooftop garden, stylish but not snobby, cozy but chic, perfect for dates, drinks, or celebrations. The air is warm, people are chatting and smiling, and the staff make you feel instantly at home.
Dishes range from classic tapas like fried burrata and patatas bravas to Mediterranean fusion plates and Italian specialties like puccia bread. Its intimate size and attentive service make it the perfect spot to linger on a warm evening. Live acoustic music drifts through the patio, glasses clink, and the energy is effortless and fun. You’ll leave feeling like you’ve really lived a piece of Barcelona!
